Hello! I am seeking assistance with identifying methods used to assess academic advising programs. After years of effort, I finally obtained permission and funding to administer ACT's "Advisement Satisfaction Survey" to 1,000 students (the number required for validity & reliability levels for a college our size), in class. The data and detailed and benchmarked results were shared with upper level administration and other stakeholders. I had been told that I would be allowed to administer the survey every three years. When I put it in the budget after three years, however, I was informed that the administration had decided to administer a much broader survey in the future, which has 5 very general questions related to advising on it.

I continue to feel the need to somehow assess our advisement program and to track it's progress as initiatives are implemented and changes made. Any information or assistance other college can give me in this quest would be greatly appreciated!!!!
