About ILAAA
The purpose of the Illinois Academic
Advisors’ Association (ILAAA) is to
gain recognition for academic
advising and to support the
development and growth of
academic advisors in higher
education within the state of Illinois.
The ILAAA also serves to enhance
the knowledge and practice of
advising and to disseminate
knowledge and information to
advisors. The ILAAA is open to and
serves all academic advisors and
counselors, faculty members,
academic professionals,
administrators, para-professionals
and others in academic and student
affairs that are concerned with the
intellectual, personal and vocational
needs of all students.
The ILAAA is a representative and advocate
of academic advisors in public,
private, four-year and two-year
institutions and is a forum for
discussion, debate and the
exchange of ideas.
